Abstract: Conflict, which composes the major part of the human life, is
a frequently encountered concept in family and work life. Such conflict in
between the different domains of life can be observed in the form of a workfamily
conflict as well as family-work conflict. In this study, the attention was
especially given to the impact of work-family and family-work conflict
experienced by nurses who work for a specialized hospital on the job
satisfaction, career satisfaction and job attitudes. Furthermore, the relation
between the work-family conflict and work-family facilitation and family-work
conflict and family-work facilitation has also been examined in this study. As a
result of the study, it is identified that there exists same directional correlation
between the two types of conflicts and opposite directional correlation between
the conflict and facilitation. Despite the fact negative directional correlation is
discovered between work-family conflict and job satisfaction, there is no
correlation between such conflict and career satisfaction.
