Öz


Abstract: The main aim of this study is to find out the relationships
between workaholism and mental, physical and emotional exhaustion. For this
reason workaholism and burnout levels of the sample which was drawn from the
academics in Atatürk University was investigated with survey method. The
findings indicate that an increase in the level of workaholism increases mental,
physical and emotional exhaustion. Furthermore in the study it was observed
that both workaholism and burnout levels of academics who had managerial
roles, who were older and instructer were higher. On the other hand, in terms of
gender, income level and smoking habits, no significant difference was
observed between workaholism and burnout levels of academics.
