KÜMELEME ANALİZİNDE YENİ BİR YAKLAŞIM: KENDİNİ DÜZENLEYEN HARİTALAR (KOHONEN AĞLARI)
Abstract: Self-organizing maps (SOM) or Kohonen’s network is one of
the most important network architectures developed during the 1980s. The main
function of SOM is to map the input data from an n-dimensional space to a
lower dimensional (usually one or two) plot while maintaining the original
topological relations. In this study with cooperation of police headquarters of
Bursa, SOM is used for definition of profiles of criminals. As a result criminal
profiles were defined according to evaluation of C5.0 rule algorithm.
